Resolution Of History Department GB on CBCS in its meeting held today, 16 May

Dear friends,
As days of admissions draw nearer, confusion looms over what universities will offer to the new batch of students. 
There is a growing concern amongst academicians and educators against hurried, top down imposition of reforms and implementation of uniform syllabi and structure of CBCS as dictated by the UGC. 
A general body meeting of History teachers, from colleges and the Department, was held today, 16 May to discuss CBCS in the light of the letter of the DU administration dated 29 April.  In the meeting a unanimous resolution rejecting CBCS was adopted. Please call the following for more details:
