Hundreds of teachers, students and non teaching employees staged a candle light March under the aegis of the DUTA,  DUCKU,  DUCLSA and SC/ST Employees Association from Arts Faculty to the VC’s Office to highlight the inaction on Appointments/Regularisation, Pensions, Promotions and to protest against the move towards privatisation and commercialisation of DU by giving autonomous status to colleges. 






Some of the demands highlighted were as follows: 1.No to privatisation of DU through autonomous colleges 2.  No to illegal contractualisation/ad hocism against substantive posts. Expedite Permanent appointments, and Regularisation/absorption of long-serving employees 3. Proper implementation of Reservation policy. 4. Time bound promotions for all,  No to retrospective application of API,  Kathpalia Committee. 5.  Pension for all,  implementation of DB judgment in toto 6. Make UGC PRC report public, implement 7th Pay Commission 7. Grant risk allowance to lab staff 8. Restore democratic composition of Health Centre Committee 9.Representation of DUCKU,  DUCLSA and ST/SC employees association in EC 10.Stop tampering with service conditions of Physical Education teachers 11. One time special chance to students and  Pass vide aggregate 12. Expand hostel and mess facilities.
