Dear colleagues,
The DUTA through its massive action programmes has been successful in highlighting anti-education policies, especially 30-70% funding formula and other retrograde recommendations of 2 November 2017 MHRD notifications and the Draft UGC Regulations of 9 February 2018. The Joint Rally by DUTA, DUCKU and DUSU of 16 February 2018, which was also joined by AIFUCTO and FEDCUTA, saw massive participation. Students from several colleges joined the Rally. We need to continue our efforts to involve our students and parents. We congratulate Staff Associations for mobilising and organising participation in the DUTA programmes.
We shall now make the Aakrosh Jalsa of 22 February successful to press for permanent appointments, processing of promotion cases, positive resolution of the issue of Counting of Past Services, release of pensions and formation of Governing Bodies in the Delhi Government funded colleges.
The DUTA appeals to the Staff Associations:
(1) To hold meetings and send feedback on the Draft UGC Regulations dated 9 Feb 2018 and suggestions for the DUTA final response.
(2) To send suggestions for future course of action.
Staff Association Resolutions should reach the DUTA by 24 February 2018 ([email protected]). The Extended DUTA Executive shall deliberate on the feedback received in its meeting scheduled for Saturday, 24 February, 2:30 pm.
Further, we request you to mobilise for the DUTA GBM scheduled for Tuesday, 27 Feb 2018, 12:30 pm, Auditorium, Hansraj College.
