Sub: Appeal to release funds immediately to Delhi Government maintained Colleges
Dear Sir,
We have learnt that the teaching staff and karamcharis have not yet received salaries for the past month in some of the colleges which are 100% funded by Delhi Government. Some colleges have not yet been able to give vacation salaries to ad-hoc teachers for months because of lack of funds. The Staff in these colleges have been facing severe personal hardship. Also lack of Grants has caused problems in all the 28 colleges aided/funded by the Delhi Government.
We write once again to you to release the funds. The Subcommittee set up by the Vice Chancellor to look at the issue of the Governing Bodies of 28 colleges aided/funded by Delhi Government has reportedly given a go ahead to the proposed list of Governing Bodies sent by the Delhi Government. We have written to the Vice Chancellor to convene a meeting of the Executive Council on an emergent basis to approve the proposed Governing Bodies. We appeal to you to end thecrisis and release the grants to these colleges.
Looking forward to a positive response from you.
With warm regards,
Rajib Ray President, DUTA |
