DUTA Letter to Staff Associations: 07.05.2019
The President/Secy,
Staff Association,
_____
Dear Colleagues,
The meeting of the Extended Executive scheduled which was adjourned yesterday due to low participation was reconvened today and the following decisions were unanimously taken:
1. It was decided to continue the hunger strike as the sword of early superannuation hangs on the heads of the physical education teachers.
2. To highlight the issue and in solidarity with our colleagues, it was decided that all teachers should wear black badges to protest against the insensitivity of the University administration. Staff Associations are requested to organise the same and ensure that all teachers participating in exam duties wear black badges.
3. The DUTA Executive has also decided to issue a leaflet and poster to explain the issues to teachers and to conduct a signature campaign amongst teachers.
4. The DUTA Executive also decided to hold action programmes every evening between 7 and 9 pm to draw attention to the issue.
5. The DUTA will meet the Chairman of the Governing Body of Sham Lal College to try and resolve the matter.
The DUTA appeals to all teachers to join the struggle as it constitutes a serious assault on the service conditions of physical education teachers across the University.
The DUTA also appeals to Staff Associations to help in mobilising and implementing the decisions of the Executive.
Regards,
Rajib Ray President, DUTA Vivek Chaudhary Secretary, DUTA Attachment: Delhi Government Letter to VC |
