Urgent Appeal to All DUTA Members

Dear colleagues,
The DUTA Office Bearers held a meeting today at 6 pm. We find it extremely unfortunate that there is no communication so far from Professor Yogesh Tyagi. We condemn that the Vice Chancellor has not taken any concrete steps to resolve the crisis in the University.
We once again appeal to Professor Yogesh Tyagi that the University makes use of next 10 hours to resolve the issues and inform the DUTA of the same.
Since the DU Administration has failed to respond satisfactorily to the DUTA’s demands, we shall go ahead with our action programne of Indefinite Strike from tomorrow, 4 December onwards.
1. All colleagues are urged to stay away from Invigilation, Evaluation and any other Official Duties.
2. Superintendents and Dty. Superintendents are urged to tender resignations and relieve themselves from all duties related to the conduct of the examinations. Similarly, CEC coordinators/incharges should tender their resignations.
3. Colleagues are, however, requested not to stop students from taking exams.
4. Colleagues are requested to participate in a Massive Protest and VC Gherao tomorrow, 4 December. We shall assemble at Arts Faculty at 11 am.
5. Staff Associations to ensure that teachers stay away from invigilation duties. DUTA teams along with Staff Associations will ensure Evaluation Boycott. DUTA teams will also meet Principals of colleges who have kept renewal in abeyance and have not released salaries.
6. Meeting of Extended DUTA Executive will be held on 6 December, 2 pm to take stock of developments and decide future course of action.
7. DUTA GBM will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, 7 December, 2019 outside Arts Faculty Gate, North Campus to decide future course of action to strengthen the ongoing movement.
