Dear colleagues,
The DUTA General Body in its meeting held on 16.1.2020 decided to withdraw Indefinite Strike in the view of resolutions/feedback received from Staff Associations and students’ interest. The movement will be carried forward through Evaluation and Screening Boycott and sit-in at the VC’s Office.
We request Staff Associations to create rosters for participation in the sit-in.
In order to pursue our demands and to strengthen our movement on the issue of one-time Regulation for Absorption, the DUTA will undertake the following action programmes in the next few days and appeals to all to make them successful through massive participation.
1. 22 January: Candle Light Vigil at Central Park, CP/ any other central location.
2. 30 January: Press Conference on the issue of one-time Regulation for Absorption as per DoPT Roster.
3. Long March in the first week of February.
We appeal to Staff Associations to mobilize and participate in these programmes.
Further, the General Body has authorized the DUTA Executive/Office Bearers to work out details of these action programmes and to decide future action programmes to take forward the ongoing movement.
The DUTA General Body decided to hold a meeting around 15 February to further intensify the movement if the key demands regarding absorption, promotion, pension, recovery and teachers of Physical Education are not met. The DUTA GBM reiterated its demand for the removal of the Vice Chancellor.
Please find enclosed the Resolution of the DUTA GBM. Please circulate it widely.
