Sub: Regarding Stepping up of Pay for Teachers in Colleges and Universities

Dear Prof. D. P. Singh,

We are writing this letter to you regarding stepping up of pay for teachers in colleges and universities. As you are aware, we have raised this matter in all our earlier meetings with you and have also written several letters, with our last letter written to you on 23.12.2018. It is extremely unfortunate that the UGC has still not been able to resolve the matter.

It is a matter of serious concern that despite getting every court judgement in their favour, the affected teachers have not yet got justice from the Government on the issue of stepping-up. As we had also stated in the letter dated 23.12.2018, the 7th Pay Revision has actually compounded the problem further and if this matter is not resolved immediately, then affected teachers would be suffering massive financial losses.

We appeal to you, once again, to expedite the resolution of stepping- up issue through a UGC Notification/Regulation at the earliest and give relief to the concerned teachers.

Regards,
