Dear Colleagues,

The DUTA Executive of 12 Jan 2019 decided to take forward struggle on our keys issues by intensifying the agitation. The DUTA Executive resolved to have Two Days’ Strike (17 and 18 Jan 2019) accompanied by action programmes.

1) 17 Jan: Strike accompanied with Long March from Ramlila Ground to Parliament Street to highlight our demands with the MHRD for an Ordinance/Bill on 200 point Roster with College/Univ as a unit and Regulation for a one-time absorption of adhoc/temporary teachers.

2) 18 Jan: Strike accompanied with Protest Dharna at the VC Office with our demands for implementation of UGC Regulations 2018 and adoption of Ordinances to bring them into effect, resolution of the issue of counting of past services, processing of pending promotion cases and issues of unjust recovery from teachers.

Please find the Resolution of the DUTA Executive and posters for the action programmes enclosed. Please circulate them widely. Please mobilise for the Strike and action programmes.

We also appeal to Staff Associations to hold their meetings to discuss issues before us and send their suggestions regarding future course of action by 28 January 2019.
