DUTA Letter to Staff Associations: JOIN dharna at DRC on 15 Sep; DUTA STRIKE from 16-18 Sep

Dear colleagues,

The DUTA Executive of 12 September 2020 decided the following action programmes:

1) DUTA Dharna at DRC, 15 September, 2 pm to 5 pm against victimization of a dalit ad-hoc teacher. Even as the TiC signed the joining letter on 10 August 2020, the Principal has refused to recognise her joining. The concerned teacher has not been assigned teaching duties.

2) DUTA Strike on 16-17-18 September 2020: 
The three Day Strike is against the unjust act of Delhi Government and to demand (1) grants to the 12 DU Colleges is released immediately and (2) the University and Delhi Government should resolve issues so that employees and institutions can be saved. Employees in these colleges have gone without salaries for over 5 months. Very recently, grants have been released to 6 Colleges. However, the sanctioned amount is extremely inadequate.

We request Staff Associations to mobilisation for the action programmes. Teachers will remain away from official duties and boycott online teaching during the strike period.
