Dear colleagues,

As you know, employees of  12 DU Colleges 100% funded by Delhi Government are facing a crisis for the past one year. There is repeated inordinate delay in release of Grants-in-aid and the sanctioned amount is far less than what is required to pay salaries, pensions and dues to employees. Despite several representations and action programmes, the Delhi Government has not resolved the issue.

While salaries of June are still pending in all colleges, many units could not pay for the month of May as well. Few colleges are yet to pay the full salaries for the month of April. Teachers have not received their dues including medical reimbursement and arrears of 7th CPC. In many places, vacation salaries of ad-hoc teachers are still pending. Employees of the 12 DU Colleges 100% funded by Delhi Govt have reached the end of their patience and are ready to be on streets.

In consultation with the Staff Associations of the 12 colleges,  DUTA-DUCKU will hold a physical protest at 2 pm sharp, Monday, 27.7.2020 at Vidhan Sabha to highlight the crisis. We will also share protest photos on FB and Twitter. Those colleagues who may not be able to join because of health issues etc, are requested to take to Twitter in support and post their protest photos.

We will not get police permission for the physical  protest. We are ready for a court arrest! Therefore, it is extremely crucial that all colleagues reach sharp at 2 pm.

We will observe all necessary precautions of physical distancing. Colleagues are requested to wear masks and carry water bottles and hand sanitizers.

Please find the poster of the action programme enclosed. Please share on FB and Twitter. Please circulate it wisely, also amongst your students.

President, DUTA

Secretary, DUTA
