DUTA GBM on 29 August 2014 at Arts Faculty Gate

It is shocking that the DUTA has been denied venue for the meeting yet again. We have decided to hold the GBM in the open at the Arts Faculty Gate. Despite writing to the VC requesting for allocation of Hall for meeting, DUTA has got no response. No response from campus colleges either,except two viz Miranda House and K M who have refused. This denial of space even for a meeting has been widely condemned by teachers. In no University in the world is the Teachers’ Association denied space for a meeting. But the VC Dinesh Singh has subverted the very meaning of a University and turned DU into a personal darbar.

Teachers will march to the VC’s office after the GBM to demand the removal of the VC and for regular appointments as well as reversal of anti-teacher decisions regarding CPF-GPF and promotions taken in the recent EC meeting. Students Organisations and DUCKU will also join the march to demand the VC’s removal.
