Dear colleagues,

We have learnt that the University has developed an Attendance App to mark students’ attendance and has approached colleges to implement it.

Over the past few years, Delhi University has witnessed mindless hurried  “reforms” , which have only led to academic dilution and have adversely affected teaching-learning environment. The University should first discuss desirability and feasibility of the Attendance App in the Academic Council and the Executive Council.

The DUTA urges the Staff Associations to resist implementation of Attendance App in their colleges as a local level decision. The DUTA will discuss the matter in its Executive meeting scheduled for 21 December 2017 at 2:00 pm.
