UGC, 7th Pay Revision

Dear colleagues,

Received the hitherto “top secret” Report of the UGC Pay Review (Chauhan) Committee for Pay Revision of the Academic Staff of Universities and Colleges. The DUTA, FEDCUTA and AIFUCTO has been demanding the UGC and the MHRD to make the report public. Finally, Naveen Gaur has got access to it via RTI. This will help trade union bodies immensely. I am sharing it here and also emailing it to representatives of AIFUCTO, FEDCUTA and trade unions of other universities so that we can start work on it.

We hear that the Regulations have been passed in the UGC full Commission meeting  recently. It will be important for us to prepare critiques of Chauhan Committee Report and the UGC regulations (as soon as they are notified) and draw comparisons between them.
