Sub: Issue of Reservation Roster with respect to the cadre of College Librarians.

Dear Prof Tyagi,

The University and its Colleges have been grouping the posts of College Librarians and Administrative Officer in preparing the reservation roster for the category of PwD, in contravention of all the applicable rules in this regard.

The matter was represented to your good office vide letter dated, 06/04/2016 and email dated, 07/04/2016. In response to our representation, a committee headed by Prof. M.M. Chaturvedi (Professor, Dept. of Zoology), comprising of Dr. Payal Mago (Principal, Shaheed Raj Guru College of Applied Sciences) as member, among others was constituted.

On the basis of the finding and recommendation of the said committee (in view of the DOPT rules) and its subsequent approval by the competent authority, it was notified by the Joint Registrar (Estab- N/T), vide its letter Ref. No. Estab. III (ii) / AL/College/2018/1970, dated 29th May, 2018, that the post of College Librarian and Administrative Officer cannot be merged for maintaining reservation roster.

However, it is regrettable that the necessary corrective measures have not been taken so far, in the light of the above notification. Moreover, the said notification has also not been duly circulated for compliance by all concerned.

We request you, therefore,  to address our concerns in this regard to resolve the grievance at the earliest.
