Sub: Two Day Strike and Dharna at Gate No. 1 on 15.7.2019 and at UGC on 16.07.2019

Dear Colleagues,

The DUTA has called for a Two Day Strike on 15th and 16th July 2019 with action programmes at the University and the UGC.

As you are aware, the hasty implementation of EWS reservation is going to result in the displacement of hundreds of ad-hoc teachers and the DUTA has demanded that the University, MHRD and UGC consider the deferment of EWS Reservation till such time as additional posts are sanctioned. We have also demanded the reappointment of all ad-hoc teachers on the first day of the new session. Issues of illegal recovery from salaries and the demand that promotion cases be processed immediately and from the date of eligibility with counting of past service will also be highlighted in the action programmes.

On Monday, 15 July 2019 the DUTA will hold a protest Dharna at Gate No. 1 from 10 am onwards and on Tuesday, 16 July 2019, there will be a Protest Demonstration from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.

The DUTA appeals to all teachers to make the Strike successful by not participating in any official duties in the colleges and Departments. And participate in large numbers in the action programme so that the issues can be resolved in favour of teachers.
