Dear colleagues, 

This is in continuation of the DUTA letter of 20.8.2021 regarding DUTA Elections 2021.

We are glad to inform that Professor Ujjwal Singh, Department of Political Science has become Election Officer for the forthcoming DUTA Elections. 

A meeting of the DUTA Executive meeting was held on 24.9.2021 along with the Election Officer to draw (1) Schedule of the Election (2) List of Institutions/Departments which will participate in the Elections (3) categories of teaching and academic staff who shall participate in the elections and (4) format of the Elections keeping in mind the COVID Safety protocols, secrecy  and fairness. 

The DUTA Elections will be held on 26 November 2021 by observing COVID safety protocols. 

Please find enclosed:

(1) Schedule of the DUTA Elections 2021. Please note that 5 November 2021 is the last date of submitting DUTA subscription of Rs 560 (for the period 1.9.2019 to 31.12.2021).

We request Staff Associations to ensure that the subscription reaches on time so as to ensure democratic rights of the teachers. 

 Staff Associations are requested to deposit the same preferably through bank transfer (details given below) or cheque. 

Teachers from Departments or those who wish to pay individually may also do the same.

We further wish to inform that the DUTA Executive has decided to develop mechanisms which will ensure equally enabling, independent and secret voting for all including our visually impaired colleagues. For this, a discussion will be held in the DUTA Executive along with the Election Officer on Tuesday, 28 September at 3 pm. This will be an online meeting. We request Office Bearers, Staff Association and visually impaired colleagues to join the discussion.
