The DUTA seal
The Delhi University Teachers’ Association’s mark: a lotus opening from an open book, inside a seal that carries the Association’s name in English and Hindi. Download it for reporting on DUTA and for DUTA’s own work; for any other use, ask first.
The seal The full mark, with the Association’s name in English and Hindi around the emblem. Use it at 96 px across or larger.
The emblem The lotus opening from a book. Use it wherever the seal would be smaller than 96 px: headers, avatars, small print.
Horizontal lockup The emblem beside the name in English and Hindi. The default for letters, documents and the web.
Stacked lockup The emblem above the name, for narrow and centred spaces: banners, posters, the end of a video.
Wordmark DUTA set in Newsreader over the full name. For places where the emblem already appears or cannot.
Letterhead The seal, the name in both languages and the office address, drawn to the width of an A4 page.
Social avatar The seal in cream on DU purple, sized to survive a circular crop.
Favicon and app icons The emblem cut down to the book and a single bud, drawn to stay clear at 16 px.
Guidelines How to use the mark so it reads the same everywhere.
Clear space
Keep an empty margin around the mark equal to a quarter of its width. Nothing else (text, edges, other logos) goes inside it.
Minimum sizes
The seal’s lettering needs room. Below 96 px across on screen (25 mm in print), use the emblem instead. The emblem holds down to 24 px (6 mm); below that, use the favicon cut. Lockups need at least 160 px (40 mm) of width.

Colour
The mark is one colour: DU purple on light grounds, white on purple or dark grounds, black where only black will print. CMYK values are approximations; for print, match the hex colour on a proof.

Do and don’t
Do use the full-colour lockup on cream or white.
Do use the white version on purple or dark grounds.

Do put the white version on a photo only over a dark area or a purple scrim.
Don’t stretch or squash the mark.
Don’t recolour it outside the palette.
Don’t add shadows, glows, outlines or gradients.
- Delhi University Teachers’ Association
Don’t rearrange the parts or set the name yourself; use a lockup.

Don’t place the purple mark on a busy photo.
The University’s seal
The DUTA mark draws on the University of Delhi’s seal but is not the University’s emblem and uses none of its insignia. It shares the seal’s round form and its bilingual ring of lettering; its lotus and book are DUTA’s own. Please don’t combine the two marks, and don’t use the DUTA mark to suggest that the University endorses something.
