DUTA Executive Decision;  2 February 2018

The DUTA Executive, in its meeting held on 2 February 2018, expresses great shock and dismay that in the permanent appointments made in the Law Faculty and in the Department of Education, a significant number of ad-hoc teachers with long years of service have been displaced.

The DUTA condemns the University administration for this callous attitude and demands justice for the displaced colleagues. It demands that the 50:30:20 break-up be released immediately so that the sanctity of the process is maintained.
Further, the criterion for awarding marks in various categories of 50:30:20 also be made public.

The DUTA reiterates its demand that long serving ad-hocs teacher be regularized/ absorbed.

To take our struggle forward for realization of our just demands, the DUTA resolves to observe one-day strike on Tuesday, 6 February, along with a March on Campus and public meeting at Gate No 1.

Tuesday, 6 Feb: Strike work, Assemble at Arts Faculty in large numbers, 11 am, March for your rights.
